Kelowna
Kelowna, BC, is the seventh largest city in Canada. It is situated on the eastern shore of Okanagan Lake. The city is also known as the “city of wine” due to the abundance of award-winning vineyards that grow in the area. Aside from the many vineyards, there are several other attractions in the city.
The climate of Kelowna is mild and moderate. The city’s average high temperature is 14.3 degC, which is typical of a continental climate. In the summer months, the temperatures are warm and sunny. While in winter, the city’s snowy conditions are perfect for downhill skiing, snowboarding and ice fishing.

Another popular destination is the Waterfront Park, which has restaurants, a long paved trail and green spaces. You can also take a dip in the lake or take a ride on a pontoon boat.
Kelowna is also home to a number of cultural districts. Downtown Kelowna has a variety of museums, shops, galleries, theatres, pubs, and nightclubs. Lower Mission has a variety of boutiques, coffee shops, and shopping malls. Upper Mission and Rutland are two of the most popular neighborhoods in the city. Both neighborhoods have safe streets and are walkable.
Other places to visit in Kelowna include Kasugai Gardens, a Japanese garden featuring waterfalls, koi ponds, lanterns, and rock gardens. Also, check out the Kettle Valley Rail Trail, which has restored historic trestles and tunnels. This 650-kilometer rail trail stretches from Hope to Castlegar, and is now a popular biking destination.
Besides the vineyards, Kelowna is an ideal destination for outdoor activities. There are many hiking trails and bike paths. If you are into kayaking, you can rent one of the many pedal boats that are available. For skiing, there are a few ski resorts close to Kelowna. Moreover, Kelowna is located near several resorts that provide mountain biking, hiking and other sports.
