Kelowna
Located in the Okanagan Valley, Kelowna is the commercial and recreational hub of the region. The town is situated on the eastern shore of Okanagan Lake, and is surrounded by orchards, vineyards, and pine forests. Its climate is considered to be one of the mildest in Canada, which makes it a popular destination for both winter and summer visitors. During the warmer months, you can go on a variety of hiking or boating trips along the lake. A variety of markets are held throughout the year. The main outdoor market is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays from April through October. You can also find a local crafts market on Sundays in Kerry Park. During the winter months, the Kelowna Farmers and Crafts Market is held indoors. Featuring locally grown and made products, this is a great way to shop for gifts, souvenirs, and more.
